Domorela's Blog: Modbus compatibility
As many people are asking us about Modbus compatibility, we want to announce that we are currently testing the new software code for the Modbus Module which will be included in the next version of Domorela's application software: 1.1.0.
The new Modbus Module will be inactive by default, being started only in the case an Admin Level user sets the module as an active module in order to manage Modbus Points present in the installation.
Domorela's Blog: Modbus integration in Domorela (I)
In our previous article we announced the new Modbus module will be included in the 1.1.0 release version of Domorela software and how to activate it. In this article we'll talk about the seamlessly integration between KNX and Modbus elements in the Domorela platform.
Domorela's Blog: Modbus integration in Domorela (II)
In the past article we explained how Modbus elements, Datapoints and Slaves, can be configured in Domorela jointly with the KNX elements: Addresses, Datapoints and Devices.
In this article we explain how the users can visualize Modbus elements in the different Views of Domorela's WUI.
Domorela's Blog: Modbus integration in Domorela (III)
Going to the Panel and Graph Views, Modbus Points are selectable to be added as widgets to Panels and as data series to Graphs, in the latter case after being configured as History values in the same way as with KNX Addresses.
Domorela's Blog: Modbus hardware interface
Modbus hardware interface is defined by the RS-485 standard, which determines two ways to interconnect Modbus devices: bus circuits using 4-Wire for Full Duplex communications or 2-Wire for Half Duplex communications.
